ACTIVITIES
The outdoor bowling season might have just ended, but there are still business matters and social events to take place.
First up is a ladies meeting on Tuesday, October 10, at 6 pm, to discuss league propositions.
The following week will be a busy one starting on Thursday, October 19, when the annual presentation of trophies takes place in the clubhouse.
On Friday, October 20, the men’s section hold their end of season get-together at the Chemist Inn, whilst the ladies of St. Issell’s hold their equivalent at the same venue the following evening.
The annual general meeting of the club is on Thursday, November 21, at 7 pm, and there are postal votes in the clubhouse for those members who only frequent the area in the summer and therefore will be unable to attend.
The main ladies dinner is on Friday, December 8, again at the Chemist Inn and there are several social events planned, including a Christmas prize bingo night, a Christmas party, a quiz evening and a mystery evening, following the success of last year’s ‘Who done it’ play.
Watch this space for more details.
ST. BRIDE’S TEAM
A second place, added to the same finish for the Saundersfoot First Division men’s team and the St. Issell’s ladies, is still a proud achievement and all five club teams will be looking for success next year.
Finally, apart from a few notices, there won’t be much to report until the next outdoor season commences in April and so a thank you to those members who give me news items, those who read my weekly columns and best wishes to everyone who will now play the indoor game throughout the winter.
