Tenby Round Table were delighted to host their 6th annual Beer Festival over the weekend at the De Valence.
The event has now become a permanent fixture to the charity organisation’s programme of events throughout the year.
This year the event was back with a huge range of drinks from Pembrokeshire and beyond.
The event boasted 33 different beers from 14 different breweries, 13 different ciders and a Prosecco Bar.
The event is organised and run entirely by volunteers, with the members of Tenby Round Table especially wanting to thank volunteers from Valero who were invaluable on both days and local volunteers for helping to keep the bar running smoothly.
The event was organised by a sub committee of Tenby Round Table made up by Jonathan Webb, Joost Geertman Adam Uka, Ed Spence and the chairman Dan Cope, with all of the organisation’s 12 members setting up, running and packing the event away over the course of four days.
The crowds were kept entertained on the Friday night by great performances from The Sun Dogs and The Sleeping Dogs who kept the dance floor packed all night.
On Saturday the entertainment was kicked off by Wales’ 21-10 victory over Scotland in the rugby which was shown on what much have been the biggest screen in Tenby!
Following that there were performances from the brilliant Connor Adams, Tris Lewis, Amanda Short and The Collective who finished the evening in style.
Chairman Dan Cope said of the event: “We’re delighted that we’ve added a sixth very successful event, we will be announcing the total we’ve raised shortly but we’re confident that we’ve raised a lot of money for charity.
“One of the major charities we will be donating to following the event is Prostate Cymru, helping support the fight against prostate cancer.
“I’d like to thank all of those who supported and attended the event, but most of all the fantastic members of Tenby Round Table for putting on another fantastic event.
“We would also like to thank the many companies who sponsored a barrel at the event, and our premium sponsors: AGS Gates, FBM Holidays, Freshwater East Holiday Village, JOP ltd - Jenkins of Pembroke, Layton and Co Solicitors, M&M windows, Starregorse Caravan Park, W and MJ Rossiter and Sons, and our two fantastic band sponsors Towergate Insurance Brokers, and Pembrokeshire Gin Company,” he added.
The event will return again in 2019.
