STANDARD Bearers from all over the county joined Milford Town band and a piper for the Anzac Memorial service at Milford Haven on Sunday.

The sun shone on those gathered on Hamilton Terrace to pay their respects.

The piper was Mr Graham Phillips from Pembroke.

Steve Traynar Chaplain took the service.

The town holds a remembrance service each year to remember the men from The Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who lost their lives in the Wellington bomber that crashed into Milford Docks on July 18, 1942, as well as the huge losses endured by Australian and New Zealand forces during the Gallipoli campaign.

Australian Army Captain Jeremy Rooke read out the history of why Milford Haven has the memorial service organised by The Royal British Legion.

He named the crew of the Wellington bomber that crashed into Milford Docks that fateful day when they all lost their lives. A memorial plaque marks the site of the disaster.
