An inclusive beach open day at Coppet Hall, Saundersfoot has been organised by the Open to All project, focusing on accessibility and seaside enjoyment for everyone.
The free family-friendly event on Wednesday, October 16 aims to showcase that the seaside can be accessible and enjoyable for all, regardless of ability. Visitors can participate in a wide range of activities including beach wheelchair access, swimming opportunities, stand-up paddleboard mega board experience, foraging excursions, woodwork sessions, well-being walks and a sauna experience.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority in partnership with Visit Pembrokeshire has been successful in securing SPF funding for the Open to All project. The project is dedicated to breaking down barriers and promoting inclusion in outdoor spaces.
Individuals and families of all abilities are welcome to join in this afternoon of fun, relaxation, and community spirit. Whether you’re keen to try out a beach wheelchair, fancy a paddle in the sea, or simply want to enjoy the coastal atmosphere, there’s something for everyone. Note that parking charges apply.
