Nominations required for those who have made an outstanding contribution to agriculture in Pembrokeshire
Nominations are being sought for this year’s Idris Davies Memorial Trust Award.
The award, which was first established in 1982, rewards those who have made an outstanding contribution to agriculture in Pembrokeshire.
Jeff Evans, Chairman of the award’s Management Committee said: “This prestigious award is a great way to recognise those individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to agriculture in Pembrokeshire. Potential award winners could be involved in a variety of activities that play an important role in agriculture and the rural community.
“Examples include organising traditional community events such as local shows, or promoting food, farming and rural life to the wider community.
“Although Covid-19 restrictions have meant that we were unable to hold our usual high-profile presentation at the Pembrokeshire County Show, as a committee we feel that it is important that the award should be made again this year. We look forward to receiving nominations.”
The winner will receive a cash award together with a perpetual trophy. Nominations can be submitted by completing an application form which is available on the NFU Cymru website, by e-mailing [email protected] or by contacting NFU Cymru on 01982 554200.
The closing date for nominations is Monday, November 30.
