Tavernspite CP School has shown the quality of education in Pembrokeshire after receiving high praise in a recent Estyn inspection.
The school was recognised as a school with many outstanding features by Estyn, the Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales.
Inspectors noted that the excellent provision for pupils' wellbeing and outstanding learning environment impacts positively on pupils' standards.
In its report, Estyn said: "Pupils demonstrate high standards of behaviour and the care, support and guidance given to pupils are an outstanding feature."
It was also highlighted that the school clearly benefits from 'excellent' partnerships with parents, the community and other key partners and this together with the strong culture of school improvement established by the leadership team have made an excellent contribution to raising pupils' standards.
Headteacher Kevin Phelps said: "We are delighted with the report. It is a joint effort by all the stakeholders of the school - staff, parents, governors, local community and, of course, the children - so I think we all should be proud of our achievements."
Key recommendations include asking the school to continue raising standards in pupils' Welsh language skills.
The school has been requested to write a case study of its outstanding/sector leading practice to be published on the Estyn website as an exemplar to be shared with other schools.
A full copy of the report is available by contacting the school directly or by accessing through the Estyn website.
