A pooch from near Tenby has posed to become the new face of a pet insurance company.

Bracken a German Shorthaired Pointer, is the new face of Aviva Pet Insurance Online, after owner Alison Rees, who works for insurance, risk management and financial services company, Thomas Carroll, in Haverfordwest, decided to put her pet forward into the catwalk world!

Ali recently nominated Pembrokeshire based SPPOT (Supporting People and Pets Through Opportunity and Training) for a £10,000 Aviva Fund via Thomas Carroll and the enterprise won.

“We went to the awards ceremony in London and we shared the table with the CEO of Aviva, Maurice Tulloch, so I asked him if he would make Bracken the face of Aviva Pet Insurance,” explained Ali, who also runs the ‘Dog Friendly Pembrokeshire’ Facebook page.

“His response was ‘in all my time I have been asked many requests... but that’s the first time I’ve been asked that!’ and asked me to send in some photos.

“Within a week of me submitting them, he made it happen! I guess, if you don’t ask, you don’t get!” continued Ali, who took this photo of Bracken at St. Davids Airfield, as she has recently taken up photography and is a member of Tenby Camera Club.

“I’m trying to get a company to sponsor Bracken as their model, as she’s very photogenic,” said Ali who has also started a Twitter account @BrackenDogModel
