Pictured is talented young golfer Jemma Nand-Lal, who was recently called up to play for the Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire Ladies’ second team against Glamorgan Ladies Seconds.
Thirteen-year-old Jemma, who hails from Narberth and plays out of Tenby Golf Club, came up against a 12-handicapper from Morriston in the match played at Carmarthen Golf Club.
Despite reaching the turn three down, she put the after-burners on over the back nine with a couple of birdies and turned the match on its head, eventually walking off with a solid 2 and 1 maiden victory, to help her team to a 5-2 win overall.
It was Jemma’s debut match for the ladies squad and added to her victory the previous weekend against Glamorgan Girls - certainly a fortnight to remember for the youngster.
