A budding young golfer from Narberth has been making some astonishing progress recently, leading to three backt to back victories out on the course.
Eleven-year-old Jemma Nand-Lal (pictured) played in the season’s opening junior competition at Milford Haven Golf Club last month and in very tough conditions and against good opposition, walked away with first place.
Then later on that month she played in the Welsh Ping Junior Tour at Carmarthen Golf Club against juniors from all over South and West Wales and this time walked off with first place in the girls Under 12 category.
Against all odds playing over at Milford Haven Golf Colf again on May 4, this time Jemma walked off with first place in the Pembrokeshire Building and Plumbing Supplies Trophy.
“As you can imagine her handicap has taken a bit of a hit as she’s now playing off 29, but I’m sure you’ll appreciate winning three back to back trophies in such fashion is a pretty rare accomplishment in one so young,” said her father Simon.
Looking forward Jemma is now due to be heading over to Llantrisant and Pontyclun Golf Clubs later this month in the next round of the Ping Junior Tour, where she hopes to keep the sparkling run going and hopes to secure a place amongst the Top 20 juniors throughout Wales.
