Young cricketer Harry Malone recently attended an occasion to remember - a lunchtime presentation held at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, and was surprised and delighted to receive the cup for Player of the Year.
The good news didn’t end there, as Harry has received his international cap on being selected to go on a 10-day tour to Sri Lanka with Cricket Wales Disability Team.
He left on Thursday from Cardiff and while there he will be playing two one-day games and two T20 games. Harry is a medium pace bowler as well as a superb fielder.
On hearing of Harry’s skill and resultant accolade, members of Tenby Masonic Lodge were delighted to present him with a cheque for £500, wishing him a successful and truly enjoyable trip.
Harry, who is seen with Clive Webb and Simon Toy, will fly to Doha International Airport, Qatar, and on to Bandaranaike Airport, Columbo.
