A recent report brought to Saundersfoot Community Council provided an update on all matters floral from the ‘Grounds Working Party’ committee.
Clr. Martyn Williams BEM gave the report on behalf of the party, stating that - two White Beams have been removed; and that the spring bulbs have been planted in the Sensory Garden and the area by the Police Station.
It was noted that the erection of the Christmas lights, within the Sensory Garden, had been a challenge but the assistance given by Rhys and his team, from Smart Gardens, had been invaluable; and they had to assisted with the taking down of the festive lights.
It was established that the water feature within the Sensory Garden may have been the possible cause for the Christmas lights to short circuit at one stage. Safe Electrics were to check and remove the pump if it was still in situ.
Enquiries are now to be made if it is possible for the Community Council to install a separate electricity supply into the garden for its use.
A meeting of the Grounds Working Party is to be called to consider design ideas to put to Michael Davies as to what will be added to the garden in the area along the ‘Old Coal Office’.
The storage container and the Council’s workshop is in need of clearing, decluttering and cataloguing, with an all-purpose skip to be ordered.
