The Together Stronger group of volunteers have continued to spread some goodwill throughout this festive period, by delivering 50 goodie bags to elderly residents in the New Hedges area.
The group was set up at the start of the pandemic, to help those in the community that were vulnerable or self-isolating, and they have continued to carry on the good work over the past few months.
The group wishes to thank those that have donated to the cause, including - the Morrisons stores in Haverfordwest and New Hedges; Tenby, Pembroke Dock and Haverfordwest Tescos; Aldis in Pembroke Dock and Carmarthen; Kilgetty and Tenby Co-op stores; along with Fine and Country estate agents from Pembrokeshire.
Thanks also goes to Rachel Pilling and her staff at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre (pictured), the new management for the cafe, for donating 58 fantastic boxes of cakes/pasties for the cause.
“Big thanks to all the local people for their donations and those who helped us deliver 50 goodie Christmas bags to the elderly in New Hedges again this year,” said Julie Wickland from the group.
“We do this as they are out of the catchment area to receive the free Christmas dinners that others in the locality are given.
“Everyone has been amazing. Here’s to the New Year when we will be collecting for small toys for Withybush children’s unit again. Merry Christmas everyone from Together Stronger, and stay safe!” she added.
