The annual Tenby Santa Run was very well attended with around 150 people (and five dogs) taking part in the 3k run around the town on Sunday. Thankfully the weather smiled on the charity event again, with some very happy Santas enjoying the sunshine on the finishing line.
This is the third year that the event has been hosted by Tenby Round Table and marks their final event of 2019.
The charity organisation has had a bumper year with two successful Summer Spectaculars held in August in Tenby Harbour along with their best ever Tenby Beer Festival which was held in October.
The Santa Run brings the year to a close and has helped with the numerous donations that the organisation has made and plans to make going forward. Tenby Round Table is an international organisation of men between the ages of 18 and 45 who give up their own free time to support their local communities and charities by running events like the Santa Run.
Tenby Round Table chairman, Ieuan Rowell, said of the event: “We were pleased to host our third Santa Run in Tenby. As always we were delighted to see the event so well attended and happy to hear the positive feedback from those that took part. I’d especially like to thank the members of Tenby Round Table for their hard work and support through the year.
“It’s always a challenge running the numerous and different events throughout the year, but through clear communication and organisation I am delighted with how 2019 has turned out, but I couldn’t have done it without them. I’m sure we are all looking forward to continuing our calendar of events in 2020!”
Tenby Round Table would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported, volunteered at and attended their events this year and wish them a happy Christmas.
