The team at Tap and Tan in Tenby cooked and served a Christmas lunch for customers and volunteers of the PATCH foodbank which is based in the Old Chapel, Lower Frog Street, Tenby.
The restaurant’s team said: “We were delighted to offer a fabulous Christmas lunch for everyone on Christmas Day and were thrilled to see so many come together. We would like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who made it possible with countless donations of ingredients, as well as our team of staff and volunteers who helped make it happen. Thanks are due to Andrew Rees, Butchers; Four Seasons Farm Shop; Loafley Bakery; Tenby Brewing Company; Castell Howell.”
The meal was served in the Restaurant at the Tap and Tan and was a delicious two-course dinner with soft drinks included as well as tea and coffee and was free of charge. The PATCH team was given 50 seats to allocate to customers and volunteers. The foodbank volunteers were delighted with the kindness, professionalism and superb cooking.
“Many thanks to the team at Tap and Tan and their Christmas Elves - the volunteers who helped. It was a special occasion for us,” they said.
