Tuesday, May 31 was a special day for Pembroke Bridge Club with all members dressing up in their ‘Royal Regalia,’ to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The club celebrated together with lots of laughter and special visitors who came along in their sparkling crowns and fabulous outfits of red/white and blue. The overall winner and ‘Best dressed’ was Pam Richards, who went all out with her amazing costume and returned home with a fabulous winning basket of goodies.
A game of ‘Royal Bingo’ was played, and the lucky winners were David Pryce Lloyd who won a selection of royal fudge and Frances Williams who was the successful winner of a platinum jubilee musical tin.
Lots of other members were fortunate to win in the Royal raffle, and the ‘Last Person standing’ game and the lucky winner of £50 went to Mr John Thomas Ferrand, bravo!
A ‘Coronation Afternoon Tea’ was served by Lamphey Hall Hotel midway during the party which was truly scrumptious. All members remarked on how fitting it was for this special occasion, with sincere compliments to Rob and all the staff at the hotel.
