An application has been submitted to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority to transform another of the arches leading down to Tenby harbour into a café.
Full and listed building applications have been put forward for the change of use from storage area to café (A3), at Store One, 1 Penniless Cove Hill, Tenby Harbour.
The plans include the construction of a new entrance and upgrading of the interior.
A similar establishment already sits in one of the arches on Penniless Cove, in the guise of The Stowaway coffee shop, which has operated from the location for a number of years.
When discussing the latest application at their remote meeting last week, members of Tenby town council recommended approval for the plans, with councillors stating that they felt that it was an appropriate development with no adverse effect on local amenities; which would also enhances the harbour stores environs.
Councillors’ views will now be passed onto the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, whose development management committee will determine the application.
