Concerns over future land management following the completion of a housing development in New Hedges have been allayed by a local county councillor.
With the land in Hean Castle ownership backing slightly on to Hunters Park and next to the Millbay Homes development in the village named Oak Grove, local residents were left worried that there would be a lack of land management/maintenance once the housing scheme was complete.
Keeping members of St. Mary Out Liberty Community Council up to date on the situation, county councillor Jon Preston stated in his recent report to the council that he was due to meet with Hean Castle land management agents to discuss the planned land maintenance going forward, in conjunction with preparation for the completion of works at the Millbay development site.
“I’ve since met with the land management agents who have confirmed that the land will continue to be managed and maintained for agricultural use,” Clr. Preston told the Observer.
