Eight new homes are planned for St Florence but there is some local opposition to the planning application to be decided this week.
Pembrokeshire County Council’s planning committee will hold its first virtual meeting since lockdown on Tuesday, June 2.
Included on the agenda is an application by Urban Style Homes Ltd for eight, including two affordable homes, properties on former farmyard land at Ash Grove, St Florence.
The application is recommended for approval and is for two one bedroom flats, a three bedroom house and five, four bedroom houses with parking, access and landscaping.
Planning permission for nine houses on the site had been granted in 2017 with the new application having a different layout and access off Chapel Lane.
St Florence Community Council has objected to the application and a further 12 letters of representations against the plan have been received a planning report states.
Concerns raised include the access safety, the urban style and “cramped layout”, impact on the village conservation area, sewerage system overwhelm, loss of privacy and the potential for future applications on the owner’s land.
