Even the lifeboat men were dancing when a Pembroke Dock-based yacht club invited local RNLI branch members to a buffet with live music to receive a generous donation.

Members of the Angle branch of the RNLI were recently invited to Pembroke Haven Yacht Club at Hobbs Point to be presented with a cheque for £1,000 for the RNLI, monies collected over the past year for the RNLI from sailing events, barbecues and other fundraisers.

Club members then treated them to a lovely buffet, while local singer and guitarist Billy Cole provided live music.

“Even the lifeboat men were dancing,” said PHYC treasurer and membership secretary Maggie Bouchier. “It was a lovely night and we hope to repeat it next year.”
