Pembroke Dock is set to host the service for Armed Forces Day following the backing of Pembroke Town Council.
During the meeting of town councillors last Thursday, town clerk Suzie Thomas announced that Pembroke Castle was not available on the day as it was hosting an engagement that could not be moved.
Usually, Pembroke Dock and Pembroke alternate who holds the service, with the latter due to be hosting it this year.
Pembroke Mayor, Clr. Gareth Jones said he had spoken to the Garrison Chapel in Pembroke Dock about them hosting the service.
He added that the Garrison Chapel were happy to host the service as long as the town council organised it.
Following a brief discussion, councillors were happy for the service to take place at Pembroke Dock.
In a separate matter, it was decided by the council to organise a joint event at Pembroke Dock for VE Day, with Pembroke hosting an event for VJ Day.
