Narberth councillors have expressed concerns relating to parking in the town.
The issue was raised at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council by Clr. Elizabeth Rogers, who said that parking on the new estate was “horrendous” as cars were now parking on the verge outside of Radio Pembrokeshire.
She had reported the issue and added that it wasn’t on the traffic wardens’ list.
Clr. Rogers also said that her husband had nearly been hit by a vehicle and if he hadn’t been wearing a hi-visibility jacket, he wouldn’t have been spotted.
She claimed that the law wasn’t being enforced.
Narberth’s Deputy Mayor, Clr. Sue Rees, claimed that a car was parked within 30 feet of the junction of Springfield Park/Jesse Road, a breach of the Highway Code.
This meant that cars had to go on the wrong side of the road to pull out, but she said Dyfed-Powys Police couldn’t see a problem with the junction.
The issue was noted by the council.
