The funeral took place recently of Mr. Terrence Martin Lewis James, of Little Newton Farm, Kilgetty. Affectionately known as Terry, he passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 30, aged 86.

Originally from Bwlchsias, near Crymych, he had lived in Kilgetty since he was 12. After leaving school, he helped on the farm before becoming a builder which he enjoyed for many years before his retirement.

Terry’s main interests were spending time with his family and friends, all sports, especially pool, and meeting people and making them laugh. Terry made friends wherever he went.

Family left to mourn; Sadie (wife), Lewis and Emma (son and daughter-in-law), Emma and Lukas (daughter and son-in-law), Ollie, Jaxon and Lauren (grandchildren), Brenda (sister-in-law), Maureen and Winston (sister-in-law and brother-in-law), Delma, Maybro, Haydn, Norman, Angela, David, Mandy, Ryan, Alicia and Geraint (nephews and nieces).

The funeral service took place at Zoar Chapel, Llanteg, and was conducted by Terry Taylor. It was followed by interment at Sardis Chapel. Bearers were Lewis James, Lukas Gamble, Winston Jones, Norman James, Oliver Gamble and Jaxon James.

Mr. A. R. Davies

Carew

The funeral took place recently of Mr. Aled Rhys Davies, of Kesteven Court, Carew. He was 55 and passed away at home on March 30.

A native of Lôn Hafren, St. Clears, Aled taught at Garnant CP and Llangynog CP Schools before becoming headteacher of Abernant CP School for 23 years. Most recently, he enjoyed his role as fairground ride ambassador at Folly Farm.

Aled was a very talented sportsman, enjoying rugby, football and most especially cricket. He played for Carew CC for nearly 30 years. Aled also represented Pembrokeshire with distinction and played for Wales in the Minor Counties Championship and in international matches.

Family left to mourn: Wendy (wife), Tom and Hannah (children), Aimeé (Tom’s girlfriend), Huw, Sian, Gari, Lyn and Ceri (brothers and sister) and their families, Reg, Elvina and Gerald (Wendy’s brothers and sister) and families, Bronwen (sister-in-law) and family.

The funeral took place at Carew Wesley Chapel and Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth. Aled’s ashes were interred at Carew Cheriton. Rev. Lorette Hinson officiated.

Bearers at the chapel were Tom (son), Rhys (nephew), Huw, Gari, Lyn and Ceri (brothers). At Parc Gwyn: Tom (son), Gerald (brother-in-law), Jeremy (nephew), Gareth Brace, Martyn Cole and Michael Scourfield (friends).

Mr. T. Williams

Pembroke Dock

Saundersfoot)

The funeral took place recently of Mr. Thomas Williams, affectionately known as Tom, of Pembroke Dock, formerly of Rushy Lake, Saundersfoot.

Aged 82, he passed away on April 12 at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.

A native of Narberth, he lived many years with his mother at Cox Hill, before he married his beloved Eira in 1979, then moved to Saundersfoot.

Tom worked for many years in the building trade, before working for Cadw restoring ancient monuments until his retirement.

During his retirement, he enjoyed tending his garden and both Tom and Eira loved walking in the countryside.

Family left to mourn: Eira (wife), Caroline (step-daughter), Michael (step-son) and Tracey (wife), Luke, Lawrence and wife Daisy (grandchildren), Oscar and Ralph (great-grandchildren), John (brother-in-law), Glesni (sister-in-law), Sian and family (niece).

The funeral service at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth, on April 25, was conducted by Rev. Elwyn John.

St. Florence

A large gathering of family and friends attended funeral took place on April 17 at St. Florence Church of Mr. Graham Thomas.

Graham was married 49 years to Cheryl. He was very well-known as he was fixture secretary for Tenby and District Darts League for many years alongside his good friend Ray Muskett, also a keen dart player for many years.

When Cheryl met him, he was a long distance lorry driver and although he had a bad back, he continued to work, including running the Nelson Pub in Tenby for many years alongside Cheryl. Also a kitchen porter in Penally in later years.

He was a caring husband looking after Cheryl for many years. He enjoyed watching TV and listening to music, always knowing who the singer was.

He leaves to mourn Cheryl (wife), Rob and Jo (son and wife), Anthony (son), Andrew and Emma (son and partner), Stephen and Jo (son and partner), Gareth and Linda (son and partner), Kayleigh (daughter), Amanda and Matthew (daughter and husband), Sarah and Alan (daughter-in-law and husband), grandchildren James, William, Jake, Lucy, Iwan, Olivia, Sam, Zakk, Ryan, Rhiannon, Rachel, Rhys Lilly-May, Dylan, Joseph, Tiegan, Kiera, Courtney, Shennagh, Liam, Jimmy and Ashleigh, great-grandchildren Steffan, Niamh, Phoebe, Lincoln, George, Emily and Madison.

Bearers were Anthony, Andrew, Stephen, Gareth (sons) James and William (grandsons). The service was conducted by Rev. Alex Grace.

He was very proud of his family.

Malcolm died peacefully at home on Monday, April 9, aged 66 years.

Beloved son of Peter and Phyllis, brother of the late Dennis. Malcolm will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Tenby, at 3 pm on Tuesday, May 8, when all his many friends in the area are invited to come along to pay their respects to his memory. No dark clothing please, as colourful as you wish, as Malcolm loved bright colours.
