The death occurred peacefully at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen, on Wednesday, July 12, of Mrs. Jacqueline James, affectionately known as Jacquie, aged 58 years, of South Carvan Holiday Park, Tavernspite.

Jacquie will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

The death occurred peacefully on Sunday, July 16 at Belvedere Residential Home, Tenby, of Mrs. Rhiannon Bridges, she was aged 82.

The death occurred peacefully on Thursday, July 13 at Withybush Hospital of Mrs. Jean Neale, she was aged 84 and lived in Scandinavia Heights, Saundersfoot.

Jean was predeceased by her husband David and will be sadly missed by her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Abigail and grandsons Thomas and Benjamin.

GAYNOR ELAINE MURRAY WILLIAMS

FORMERLY OF TENBY

A gathering to celebrate the life of Gaynor (Elaine Murray) Williams will be held at 2pm on Monday, July 31, at St Luke's Church Hall, 571 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff, CF5 1BE (opposite Victoria Park).

All who knew her are most welcome - please contact Janet Williams on 07773 900216. As previous noted here, Gaynor died in Llandough Hospital, Cardiff, on Friday, June 30, aged 85.

She was born and raised in Tenby, a town she loved all her life, the daughter of Henry James (Harry) Williams and Eleanor (Jenkins), of Greenhill Avenue, and the brother of Neville. She attended Greenhill School and the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, where she studied history, one of her life-long interests, and acted in many amateur productions.

She was a much-loved and respected history teacher at Tapton House, Chesterfield, and both Cathays High School in Cardiff, and Cardiff High School, where she became senior mistress. She was President and life member of the Cardiff Association of the National Union of Teachers, and for 20 years a very active member of the Canton Branch of the Labour Party, and the Cardiff West Constituency Office, serving as a delegate to the party's National Conferences. She assisted MP Kevin Brennan with his fortnightly surgeries. She was a member of the Wales Assembly of Women, and volunteered at the National Museum of Wales.

Gaynor loved animals, especially her pet cats, of which there were many, of various temperaments, and was a member of the local branch of the RSPB team.

She is mourned by her nieces Janet and Rosemary, her cousins Gerry, Roma and Bobbie, close friends Ceri and Jill, and her many friends and former colleagues in Cardiff and Tenby.
