A local pooch has paid homage to the ‘Hound of the Baskervilles’ by posing next to Tenby’s iconic St. Catherine’s Island, where the BBC’s Sherlock series was recently filmed.

Looking ‘fetching’ in her Sherlock Bones outfit, German Shorthaired Pointer, Bracken had been sniffing out locations for her latest photo shoot, after becoming the face of Aviva Pet Insurance Online.

Owner Alison Rees who lives near Tenby and also runs the ‘Dog Friendly Pembrokeshire’ Facebook page said she wanted to do something a ‘bit different and fun’ for Bracken’s most recent venture into the modelling world.

“St Catherine’s Island is photographed a lot so I had to think outside the box. Bracken is trained and using the ’hold’ command I was able to teach her to hold the pipe and Sherlock Bones was born! She takes it all in her stride.

“The people that saw us doing the shoot loved her. Watch this space for her next shoot! ” added Alison.
