Local tourist attraction Manor Wildlife Park have given an update on measures put in place at the site to help safeguard against the spread of coronavirus.
“First of all, the park remains fully open, that said, we are following government guidelines and should anything change in the coming days or weeks we will act accordingly,” said a spokesperson for the Park which is located in St Florence.
“We have briefed all staff as to make sure they are aware of how the virus is transferred, and to ensure they too are following the guidelines and know that they need to self-isolate should they experience any of the symptoms listed on the government website.”
Over the past few weeks, the park stated that they have completely overhauled cleaning regimes, with high traffic, high use areas now being disinfected regularly throughout the day.
“We have put up extra hand sanitizers in high footfall areas and at work stations for both guests and staff to use,” they continued.
“We will also stop providing cutlery, condiments and serviettes in our ‘self-service’ areas in both our indoor play and café, instead asking guests to request the items they require from a member of our front of house team.
“We understand that this is a worrying time for everyone, but we’d like to make clear that Manor Wildlife Park is an outdoor attraction meaning you’ll mostly come into contact with fresh air and the odd bit of drizzle (knowing the UK).
“We are being as vigilant as is possible, and with the co-operation of all our guests, we endeavour to continue providing a safe family day out for everyone,” added the spokesperson.
