Lindy Hoppers Gerald and Angie Bowen, along with Swing Jive aficionados Neil and Bev Morris, showcased their philanthropic spirit as they presented a heartfelt donation of £200 to the Paul Sartori Hospice at Home service.

The donation, a result of the couples’ dedication and the generosity of their dance community, was raised through a lively raffle organised during a dance event at Pater Hall, Pembroke Dock. The couples, well-known for their Lindy Hop and Swing Jive dance classes, gathered their pupils and dance enthusiasts to create an evening of fun and entertainment.

Gerald Bowen shared the inspiration behind the donation, recounting how Paul Sartori Hospice at Home had played a pivotal role in helping his father fulfil his final wish of passing away in the comfort of his own home. The contribution, Gerald emphasised, is a heartfelt expression of gratitude and a way for him to give back to the Charity that provided invaluable support during a difficult time for his family.

The Lindy Hoppers and Swing Jive enthusiasts engaged their dance community in supporting a cause close to their hearts. The couples expressed their gratitude to everyone who attended the event, purchased raffle tickets, and donated prizes, contributing to the raffle's success.

Paul Sartori Hospice at Home is a registered charity offering free specialised, supportive care and advice for those in the later stages of any life-limiting illness. The service is available 365 days of the year and operates a 24/7 on-call service.

Pembrokeshire Lindy Hoppers hold dance classes at the Pater Hall in Pembroke Dock every Thursday. Both classes are in the main hall: beginners class starts at 7pm; improvers class starts at 8pm.
