Sir,

What a great letter in the Tenby Observer (and may there be more letters like it) suggesting we show as much care as we can for those really in need at Christmas.

The other ancient aspect of Tenby on Christmas morning according to my late father who was there 1912 to 2001 was that in his younger days two gentlemen rose early on Christmas Day whatever the weather to ensure the church bells rang out to greet the joy of the morning and express praise and gratitude.

My father loved the bells of Saint Mary’s.
