A large group of local residents attended the latest Community Coffee Morning last Thursday and it was decided to formally start the Kilgetty Friendship Group.
The very first meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 17, at 2 pm in the Kilgetty Community Centre and every two weeks thereafter.
The Friendship Group will be open to all local residents in the Kilgetty and Begelly area. It is hoped that a variety of activities and interests will be catered for, with many ideas already being put forward.
The first meeting will enable the members to decide how they want to run the group and to set up a programme of activities.
Clr. David Pugh, who has been co-ordinating the establishment of the group, said: “It was so pleasing to see the high level of interest and the enthusiasm for starting the Friendship Group. There were a lot of very positive ideas being discussed and I am sure the group will be a great success. I hope that residents of the area will come along to make some new friends and involve themselves in the activities.”
So why not come along next Wednesday to join what promises to be a new and exciting venture.
