Rail users of Narberth station can be pleasantly surprised by the new-look appearance.
Bushes and undergrowth have been cut down, with yards of platform now clear of debris.
Members of Narberth Women’s Institute have made it their project to enhance the station and make it once again something to be proud of.
Members, using the Pembroke Dock line, have praised the profile of other local stations, realising Narberth was in need of some TLC.
The jam and Jerusalem ladies added a further string to their bow turning their hands to gardening in an effort to enhance the amenity.
Flower borders now dominate the entrance to a somewhat clean platform with seasonal daffodils.
The station now has a destination sign, made and presented to the project by local craftsman, Maxwell Walters.
The WI, are now looking for a sponsor of a plaque, to recognise their hard work.
The gardeners are Joan Spacey (president), Mavis Morell, Judy Smith, Judy McDonald, Doris Feetham, Iris Bevan, Tess Clarke, Mary Scourfield and Jean Morgan.
