It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the village of East Williamston!
It’s all thanks to the generosity of the Quinn family who donated the splendid tree and the volunteers who put the lights on the lovely sparkly tree on the village’s common.
“Throughout the village locals are putting out lots of decorations, creating great displays - and it is good to see some cheer after so many challenging months,” said Kathy Talbot of the East Williamston Community and Hall Association.
“Perhaps these lights will bring to mind a cup of hot chocolate or a home made mulled wine to share outdoors of course, over the garden fence!”
Mindful of creating some brightness in the Spring, over 500 daffodil bulbs have also been planted throughout the East Williamston Jubilee Community park which will make a great show.
“At the moment a couple of groups are using the Community Hall and bookings will be welcomed if the regulations allow,” continued Kathy.
“The Association wishes everyone in the area a peaceful Christmas and a hopeful 2021.”
