The atmosphere was electric at Narberth Outdoor Rock on Saturday, August 3 at the Lewis Lloyd Stadium home of Narberth RFC.
The fourth event of its kind, it was organised jointly by Narberth and Whitland Rotary and Narberth Otters Committee Members.
Over 1,000 tickets were sold with lots of walk-ins on the night. Festival goers were dancing on the pitch in front of the wonderful stage provided by EPS Production Services.
The event kicked off with Pembrokeshire band the Sleeping Dogs who have a huge following in Narberth with two local lads in the band. The band has an energetic style and a diverse repertoire spanning a wide variety of genres and decades.
The crowd responded with singing and dancing as Forever Elton performed a stunning homage to the songs of Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Taking a fresh approach to Elton’s music, the show featured multi-talented musicians, authentic costumes and live piano playing.
Final act of the evening, with a two hour song-packed slot, was tribute show Run in the Shadows – The Fleetwood Mac Experience. The Band really rocked Narberth and everyone who attended said the event was excellent value for money, with three top quality bands.
Over the past three years the event has raised over £10,000 for local charities and will continue to donate to worthwhile causes in the local community.
Sound and lighting were amazing and thanks go to Wayne Morse and his team for the professional way he conducted the event. The organisers were also extremely grateful to the main sponsors Puffin Produce, Molson Coors and Media partners Pure West Radio.
Compère DJ Steve Briers declared,“this is our best Narberth Outdoor Rock yet.”
