With forthcoming concerts in Tenby, Saundersfoot and Cresswell Quay, one local male choir stands out as being one of the hardest working in the county, if not the country!
Tenby Male Choir is almost half way through their two dozen concerts scheduled for 2023.
The choristers are delighted to be supporting their President, Wynne Evans BEM, when he tops the bill at SaundersFEST on Sunday afternoon, July 9. The choir will perform a set immediately before Wynne appears with his brother, Mark Llewelyn Evans, and join them with Choirs for Good in a finale to bring the three day music festival to a close.
On Thursday, July 13, Tenby Male Choir will be performing a fundraising concert for Prostate Cymru, a voluntary group dedicated to fighting Prostate Cancer, procuring equipment and raising awareness here in Wales. Prostate Cymru urge us all to help them fight this deadly disease, to help them make a difference. The concert will be at St Mary’s Church, Tenby at 8pm, admission £10 cash or card, pay on the door.
The following evening, Friday, July 14, the Choir will be holding their annual Barbecue Concert at the Cresselly Arms, Cresswell Quay. Come along and enjoy the music and festivities at this traditional pub in a beautiful location on the banks of the Cresswell River. The event will run from 6.30pm and admission is free.
A fundraiser for the Samaritans charity is to be held on Thursday, July 20. Samaritans offers a 24x7 helpline service for anyone who is struggling to cope with problems in their life. Around six hundred Samaritans volunteers respond to calls for help every day of the week via telephone, e-mail, text and in person at branches or at events across Wales. The concert will be held at St Mary’s Church, Tenby at 8pm, admission £10 cash or card, pay on the door.
