TENBY, Friday to Sunday, March 21 to 23: Pembrokeshire born Gruff Rhys, renowned as lead vocalist and guitarist with Super Furry Animals, is set to headline Tenby’s first ever bilingual and multi-arts festival ‘Y Lle Da | The Good Place’.
Also appearing will be DJ Andy Smith (of Portishead) along with singer and harpist Cerys Hafana, N’Famady Kouyaté, Das Koolies, Pembrokeshire’s Samana and Rona Mac, Afro Cluster, Taff Rapids, Kizzy Crawford, HMS Morris, Baby Brave, Mellt, The Family Battenberg plus more!

The festival is the vision of local creatives Rhiannon Morgan-Bell, Naomi Chiffi and Chloe Barnes, who each bring vast experience in the music, theatre, and TV industries. Part of the package are workshops and mentorship opportunities; learning valuable skills and gaining experience in the creative industries.
“We aim to create a festival that reflects the heart and soul of Wales,” said Rhiannon.
St Mary’s Church and The De Valence will host the main stages at ‘Y Lle Da |The Good Place’ showcasing over 25 acts from 6pm each evening. There will also be a third main stage at The Dogs Home (Ex Serviceman’s club). Later in the evenings, there will be DJ sets for those who want to continue the party!
During the day, there will be music throughout the town from 12 noon - 5pm at ‘Y Lle Da Venues’ along with workshops for adults and children including, panel discussions from music industry professionals as well as creative writing sessions with former children’s laureate Connor Allen, festival collages with Di Ford, Children’s Lego Animation Workshops, ‘A Splodger’s Guide to Art’ with Guy Manning, ‘A Journey through the 90’s Rave Scene’ with Dj Andy Smith and Nick Halkes, and cookery sessions with Ffwrnes’ Jez Phillips from TV’s Pizza Boys.
