This August, Queens Hall Narberth and Narberth Youth Theatre has launched a series of skills-based workshops for young people, an open invitation to young musicians, actors and creatives interested in a career in music, stage, TV and film.

Following a pilot last year, the 2024 workshops kicked off on August 15 with a Lighting Design Workshop, learning about how to light up a space for a music or stage event.

On Monday, August 19, 2.30-4.30pm, the Sound Design Workshop, designed for young producers and creators of stage, music and film, was set up to provide a hands-on experience for young people to get up close and make some noise - led by Adam Wilkinson, sound engineer associated with The Queens Hall Narberth.

Further production workshops for young people are planned for October half-term.

Each two-hour session is open to those aged 11-18. This collaborative event between The Queens Hall and Narberth Youth Theatre is funded by UK Government and sponsored by STOPIO Narberth.

Spaces are limited. For further details, call Cherylee on 07971 881539 or visit thequeenshall.org.uk .
