By the time this report is printed, the Christmas rush will be well underway (writes Janice G). Christmas card lists will have been reviewed and cards despatched extra early in view of what happened last year.

The Christmas turkey will have been ordered, puddings and cakes made and mince pies will have run out in the shops. Meanwhile, Club members are looking forward to their pre-Christmas lunch party on December 11 at the New Overlander, followed by a few games of Bridge back in the Village Hall.

Results for December 4 were as follows: top pair Geoff & Paul V with an excellent score of 74.48%. Congratulations to them both. There were no Slams today but three hands produced enough tricks, particularly on board 23, which had four pairs making twelve tricks.

The Club will be open as usual in the Village Hall at 1.15pm on Monday, December 18 and thereafter on Monday, January 8, 2024.
