A family minibeast hunt has been planned for Saturday morning at Lawrenny.
The hunt takes place in the churchyard at St Caradoc’s Church, Lawrenny from 9:30am to 11:30am on Saturday, June 3. It is is being organised by the Church Council as part of Churches Count on Nature 2023 - Love Your Burial Ground Week.
The organisers will be setting some moth traps overnight and will spend the first hour looking at those they have captured before releasing them again. You will be able to enjoy the expert commentary of local naturalists Robin Taylor and Bob Haycock.
They will then turn their attention to hunting for other minibeasts. Join the hunt for snails, slugs, insects. worms, bees, spiders, ladybirds…
Please ensure that young children are accompanied by an adult.
