It’s time to switch off your television, venture out and about, and get into the Christmas spirit, as Pembrokeshire choir The Quaynotes are ready to go!
Having diligently rehearsed under Musical Director Mark Thompson, they are all set to reprise their successful annual ‘Christmas Concert and Carols’ at St Mary’s Church, Carew Cheriton on November 29 at 7pm. The repertoire includes many seasonal favourites, notably John Rutter’s gorgeous Christmas Lullaby, plus an old favourite with a twist: Away in a Manger, sung to a traditional Normandy tune.
To entice you there will be mince pies and mulled wine! Any donations will go towards both the Church and Paul Sartori Hospice at home.
The Quaynotes will be active around Pembrokeshire over the next month, and can be heard at:
Carew Castle: ‘Glow in the Dark’, on Friday, December 6
Monkton Priory Church: A Christmas Carol Concert on Sunday, December 8 at 6pm will mark the start of the Christmas Tree Festival.
Deer Park Church, Tenby: A Carol Concert on Thursday, December 12 at 7.30pm will raise funds for the Food Bank.
