British Wildlife Photography Awards 13, a high quality photography book coming out next month, will showcase over 250 of the winning and shortlisted entries from the 2025 competition.

The publication of the book will coincide with the announcement of the winners of each category at a ceremony on March 20. Sitting alongside world-class professional photographers are a host of immensely talented amateur photographers - will there be any from Pembrokeshire? We eagerly await the announcement!

Together with the winners and shortlisted photographs from the British Wildlife Photography Awards, this high quality photography book also includes images from the latest RSPB Young British Wildlife Photographer of the Year, highlighting some of the best young talent in nature photography at the moment, some as young as 11, and the vast array of wildlife that calls the UK its home.

British Wildlife Photography Awards was founded in 2009 by Maggie Gowan and has since grown into the greatly revered and treasured competition that it is today.

Since 2022, the competition has been directed by photographer Will Nicholls, who was astounded by the number of entries: “With so many talented photographers participating, this collection represents not only their technical excellence but also their dedication to understanding and capturing the essence of nature.”

Matthew Howard, Publishing Director of Graffeg, said, “We had our first opportunity to publish the British Wildlife Photography Awards in 2023 and were quite simply blown away by the quality of work that this competition attracted. So we’re delighted to once again bring the very best of wildlife photography to a UK audience and showcase the natural world of these fabulous islands.”
