Films4Tenby will be showing Matilda The Musical (2022, 118 mins, cert PG) on April 4 at the De Valence with the doors opening at 6.30pm and the film starting at 7pm.

This is the latest adaptation of Roald Dahl’s 1988 children’s book but is also based on the stage musical and features 14 original songs.

Alisha Weir plays schoolgirl Matilda who develops psychokinetic abilities to deal with cruel headmistress Miss Trunchbull (played by Emma Thompson).

The film received two BAFTA nominations.
