Films4Tenby will be showing Emily (2022, 130 mins, cert 15) on March 21 at the De Valence with the doors opening at 6.30pm and the film starting at 7pm.
Emma Mackey (Death on the Nile) plays the author Emily Bronte who only wrote one novel in her tragically short life, but what a novel it was – the classic Wuthering Heights. The film focuses on Emily’s inspiration following the death of her mother leading to her writing the book, and also the relationship with her siblings Charlotte and Anne (who wrote Jane Eyre and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall amongst others) and her less talented and substance-addicted brother Branwell. Adrian Dunbar (TV’s Line of Duty) co-stars as their strict father Rev’d Patrick Bronte.
Admission is £5 on the evening, £4 for members, £10 for a family of four.
