A concert to celebrate the deep love and respect we all share for the NHS will form part of the St David’s Cathedral Festival, to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
St Davids Cathedral Festival and CADW invite you all to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday, June 3 - bring a picnic and a rug and enjoy this free concert in the stunning surroundings of The Bishop’s Palace.
Opened by Wales’ Minister for Health Eluned Morgan, the NHS Choir Hospital Notes and the phenomenal Pembrokeshire band Goodwick Brass will be playing with good cheer in the stunning surroundings of The Bishop’s Palace.
It will be an opportunity for everyone to honour the frontline workers who have brought us through covid and to join the chorus of joy at being back together again in public.
Eluned Morgan MS will introduce the concert and will also be taking part in an event at 12 noon in Ty’r Pererin reflecting on the pandemic and discussing the role of music and the arts in recovery for individuals and for the community with Kathryn Lambert of Arts in Health.
Simon Pearce, Artistic Director of the festival says: “The 2022 festival is dedicated with gratitude and love to the staff of the NHS.”
The concert starts at 1 pm. Both events are free but ticketed. Coronation chicken sandwiches will be served! Bring your picnic rug and flags!
