With a new President in charge, members of Carew WI sang Jerusalem with gusto as Edith settled into her new role with confidence.

The usual routine matters were dealt with as members then settled down to a presentation by Deric. Deric is an accomplished photographer and historian who captures local happenings in the area. His presentation, as always, showed his skill, knowledge and humour and was greatly enjoyed by all.

The competition winners were Margaret F and Bron H. Lots of raffles prizes this month won by Jean, Margaret F, Bron H, Julie and Meghan. Congratulations to Ruth for winning the Pembrokeshire WI competition and prestigious Bisley Munt Cup for her painting of Manorbier Castle.

Final arrangements were made for the lunch on January 17, 2024 and members were reminded of the January 3 meeting when Rod H will speak on working with dogs, dog behaviour and psychology.

As is customary, the meeting closed with the singing of a Christmas carol. 

Carew WI wishes a Merry Christmas to all members - especially those unable to make it to meetings - and a Happy, healthy, peaceful and joyous New Year.
