Alive and Kicking is the world’s only non-profit ball manufacturer and through the Library Ball Project locals can borrow a ball for sport or fun, for free.

The library branches in Tenby and Pembroke Dock, and the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot are all offering balls in various sizes for loan, and it’s not even necessary to be a member to borrow one.

Friday afternoons in Tenby are for Lego Club, every Friday 3-4.30pm, all through the year. This is a free, drop-in activity; just go along and make something wonderful. The library will display your creation for two weeks before the Lego is reused to make something else. There are also Lego Clubs in Haverfordwest, Pembroke Dock and Milford libraries on other days.

If you’re feeling too old for Lego Club, then we have good news for you; Adult Lego is being launched this month, open to all Lego fans aged 18+; if you’re interested, call the library on 01437 775151 or email [email protected].

Baby Rhyme Time restarts on Monday, September 11, 10.30-11am with stories and songs for pre-schoolers and their adults.

New fiction just in includes ‘The Trial’ by tv lawyer Rob Rinder and ‘Farewell to the Little Coffee Shop of Kabul’ by Deborah Rodriguez.

Narberth Library is still running out of the Bloomfield Centre for the moment. This offers only basic facilities, just lending and returning books. There are no public access computers, and there is no phone line to the library. Any phone calls or emails to Narberth Library will be diverted to Tenby Library.

Food waste bags are freely available at the library on request; they also have a supply of the recycling boxes and bags, but no longer have orange bags for mixed recycling.
