Adult Learners’ Week: June 25 - July 1, 2016.
Bloomfield Community Centre provides top quality adult education, from one day creative workshops to 30 week language courses. If you fancy learning Welsh we have many different levels of ability and ways to learn; you can choose between two, three or four hour weekly sessions, the three hour class combines classroom and use of the internet to learn.
If it’s a European language you’d like to learn then we have Spanish, French, German and Italian all on offer, all have beginners levels and most have more advanced sessions so if you’re just a beginner, know some basics or need some practice and want to have fun learning a language you can find the right class for you.
We have environmental and geological studies with Andrew Crossley which combines classroom teaching with field trips to the beautiful Pembrokeshire beaches and countryside. We also have a local history class on offer.
If it’s a bit of creativity you’re after then we have plenty on offer. Our creative writing class offers people a chance to express themselves though poetry and prose with a published author to guide them. We have three different art classes including an evening slot and contemporary embroidery is a new addition to our syllabus. If you’d like to learn how to sew or create a dress then Donna Hole of Giddy Aunt can help with beginners and advanced lessons. STEP Projects will be offering beginners crochet and floristry classes. Throughout the year we will be offering many one day workshops; we have fabric flowers, mosaics, driftwood, spoon carving, rag rugs, willow, fascinators and our most imminent one, Alice in Wonderland Shoe Revamping on Sunday 30th July, where you can bring along a pair of shoes you don’t wear anymore and revamp it with an Alice in Wonderland twist!
So whatever you fancy we should be able to provide something to pique your interest.
