On Sunday the congregation at East Williamston held a special service in church. Father Paul Boyle blessed a memorial which is dedicated to the three men from East Williamston parish who lost their lives in the Loveston Mining Disaster on May 26, 1936: Joseph Phillips age 26, Ernest Phillips age 21 and John Hilling age 26.

On Friday October 28, starting at 6.30pm the church is holding a pudding tasting evening in the community hall in East Williamston. At the moment there are at least 20 puds to choose from, a table quiz to have a go for fun, a raffle and the bar will be open. A warm welcome is assured for everyone.
