A PEMBROKE man has been jailed for domestic violence and possession of a class B controlled drug.
Mark Ion, of Colley Court, Monkton, had pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating at Manorbier in June, but he was found guilty by Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on August 5.
Magistrates sentenced Ion to 26 weeks’ imprisonment. Compensation was set at £100 and a restraining order is in force to prevent contact with the victim, entry to her place of residence or entering any data relating to her via public internet forum or social media.
Ion was further sentenced to four weeks’ imprisonment, concurrent, for possession of 2g of cannabis. Magistrates took into account a guilty plea.
Court costs amount to £650.
