A MAN from Pembrokeshire is in custody pending Crown Court sentencing following the sexual assault of a boy under 13.

Twenty-two-year-old Jake Roberts, of no fixed abode, Cilgerran, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on January 13.

A plea of ‘indicated guilty’ was entered against the charge of assaulting a boy under 13 by touching, contrary to section 7 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, between January 1, 2021 and January 11, 2025, on at least two occasions. The touching was intentional and sexual.

Because of the nature and seriousness of the offence, his previous record and the likelihood of reoffending, Roberts has been committed in custody to Swansea Crown Court for sentence. The hearing will take place on February 3.
