A LOCAL employer has admitted to failing to protect their employees from the risk of injury from escaped livestock at Whitland Livestock Mart.
JJ Morris Limited appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on April 16.
The company entered a guilty plea to a Health and Safety at Work Act infraction on November 19, 2022: that at Whitland Livestock Mart, being an employer, they failed to ensure, so far as was reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all their employees in that they exposed an employee to risk of injury from escaped livestock.
They also pleaded guilty to a similar incident on February 19, 2022.
Sentencing will take place at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court at midday on June 20.
