A GROUP of Tibetan monks who are on a tour of the UK and Europe are coming to the De Valence Pavilion in Tenby.
At 4pm on Monday, October 14 there will be a free workshop led by the eight Tibetan monks who will introduce details of the beautiful costumes worn in the dances of the Gutor Festival at Tibetan New Year and invite you to learn a few of the steps.
The monks will also offer a demonstration and explanation of Taksel, the art of dialectical debate, and an opportunity to learn some of the intricate mudras (hand gestures) from Tantric prayer and offer an insight into life in a Buddhist monastery.It will be suitable for anyone over 6.
On the evening of Monday, October 14, 7pm, they will be singing, performing dances, and explaining about Tibetan Buddhist culture. This is sponsored by the Welsh Arts Council and entrance is £5. You can pay cash on the door or buy tickets online atwww.ticketsource.co.uk/tenby-town-council.
