On a beautiful though chilly February 26, five and a half tables were in play. 

Top pair was Alan & Brenda on 61.9%, closely followed by Paul and Stuart on 60.42% and visiting pair Jill and John on 57.14%. Five pairs were ‘stuck in the 40% doldrums’. Only 2 slams were bid and made, by Jill and John and Paul and Stuart. Four other pairs made slams but did not bid them. One board in particular saw all East/West players bidding to game, but scoring 12 tricks.
